Thanks to a collaboration between HBO and the BBC, Rome gives us an historically accurate and engrosing look at Julius Caesar. We see Caesar mainly through the eyes of two Roman soldiers, a great perspective since the series takes us through the death of the Republic and bloody birth of the Empire. Ray Stevenson charms as the earthy Titus Pullo and Polly Walker nearly redefines the Bitch as Atia of the Julii. We're almost halfway through the first season and so far, it's worth all the slaves in Gaul.
